November 2000

Welcome

The Canterbury Harriers will not be staging the Red Lion Race in Hernhill this year and the event will be removed from future race calendars. The club is looking to develop a new race for 2007 and are currently reviewing a number of exciting options. Further details will be posted in the new year.

Welcome to the website of the Red Lion 10K, a challenging and very scenic road running race held in the small village of Hernhill near Faversham every August, and which finishes on the village green beside the 14th century Red Lion public house.

The race will once again be organised by Canterbury Harriers running club and we aim to build upon a series of successful and popular races.

In the Runner's World of November 2000, the Red Lion 10K was described as "a remarkable race" and readers were urged to, "Book it in your race diary for next year."

Race entries are strictly limited to 450 so please download an entry form now.
Please note also that entries on the day are not eligible for prizes.

Canterbury Harriers are once again grateful to the Red Lion pub for sponsoring this event, to the residents of the Hernhill area for their support and to Mr Sands Dawes for allowing parking on the grounds of Mount Ephraim.
